Affiliate disclosure

We get commissions for purchases made through links on this site, once a program is approved and the link is live. You do not pay extra.

The Federal Trade Commission expects that sentence near the recommendation, not only in a footer. Monetized articles repeat a short version at the top.The FTC’s endorsement guidesare the reference, including the point that “affiliate link” by itself is not a clear disclosure.

Links that are not affiliate links yet

Most outbound product links currently go to the vendor’s public website, not to an approved affiliate URL. The site is not paid for those clicks. When a program approves the site, the link starts going to the affiliate URL, and the page says a commission may be earned.

What a commission does not buy

Programs the site may use

Inclusion is not a claim that the site has been accepted, and it is not a promise of a rate. Check the vendor’s current terms before applying.

Links this site is not using

Compensated access

Nothing on the site is described as a free trial the vendor comped, because that has not been documented. If a vendor later comps a product, the review will say so in the same place as the affiliate disclosure.
