Editorial policy
Tested by Agents is an independent publication. A page is not live, in the sitemap, or eligible for a star rating until the notes that ask for prices, screenshots, and a verdict are replaced.
Sources
Public facts come from the vendor’s own site, help center, or a dated press release, and the article says where. A third-party review is attributed to that publication. A number with no source is not used.
Drafts may be assembled from public sources before account details are added. The draft banner is there so that research is not mistaken for a finished review. Sentences about hands-on use wait until those details are written. Until then the page stays a draft and out of search.
A research page can be published without those notes when it does not claim hands-on use, a score, or a price this site paid. It cites the source and the date checked.
Corrections
Prices change. When a vendor page changes, the article’s “facts checked” date changes with the sentence. If a cited figure is wrong, use the contact page. The correction should be visible on the page, not only in a changelog nobody reads.
Independence
Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the disclosure page and at the top of monetized articles. A vendor does not buy a verdict. Tools that do not pay are still eligible for a review, which is the point of reviewing them.
The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any brokerage. It does not publish recruiting pages.
AI tools used to draft
A draft may be prepared with an AI writing tool from public documents and from notes recorded for the site. That does not make the AI the author, and it does not create a testing experience. Any sentence about what was done, paid, or concluded has to be approved before that page is published.
